Tucked away, almost deleted, within my spam box this morning, was obviously a very welcome virtual “Treasure of France.” An email coming from a family I spent a night exceeding recently. It was, like all of my “one nighter” filming encounters, 24 plus hours of genuine hospitality and friendship. A (for me, continuing) demonstration that “people will always be kind.” And a realization by all, this unexpected evening would, most likely, be a 1 time event. Their mail ended with: “We wait to hear more news of the (my italics)exciting life.”
– Tip #1: Be sure to make copies of one’s important documents
– If you’re using traveler’s checks be sure you keep your copies while using serial numbers separate from the originals
– It also wouldn’t hurt to email the serial numbers, charge card numbers along with your passport number to yourself
– That way you have access to the documents easily over the internet if your luggage or purse be lost or stolen
– You can access the world wide web in nearly every country
– You can also leave a duplicate with your safety deposit box or with a trusted relative
