Experience Electrician/Quality Control Supervisor, United States Navy, September 1979 to present. Supervise the operation of electrical power plant (nuclear, steam, diesel, gas turbine), lighting systems, electrical equipment, and electrical appliances, including installation, operation, adjustment, routine and corrective maintenance, inspection, testing, and repair of various electrical equipment (generators, motors, switchboards, meters, controllers, voltage/frequency regulators, transformers, 400 HZ static frequency converters and motor generators, high/low pressure air compressors, air conditioning units, ventilation systems, elevators).

Technical Hands-on experience as both a shirtsleeve manager and maintenance technician with skill in detecting system discrepancies through detailed inspections and proficient use of blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals. Plan maintenance schedules and coordinate production control with an emphasis on planned maintenance, quality control and the identification-elimination of problem areas. Ensure systems operability, material integrity, quality control, and adherence to established standards and specifications. Directed maintenance programs with "outstanding" results on organizational inspections and substantially high material readiness.

Resources Supervised, assigned, and evaluated up to fifteen technical specialists. Managed several technical training programs, established professional qualification standards, coordinated training schedules, assigned instructors, ensured cross-training in the maintenance and repair of various systems and equipment, and negotiated quotas for formal technical training schools.
